A fee for both the Initial verification distance learning and Periodic inspection and Testing distance learning course costs £750. Initial verification, Testing and certificate for distance learning Initial verification, Testing and certificate distance learning is a home study course for candidates who want to achieve the qualification for the initial inspection testing. This course is for practicing electrical professionals who want to carry out regular testing and inspecting as well as completing inspection reports. The course will allow candidates to read and learn at their own pace. After completing the course candidates are required to book an official exam for the Initial verification course at our centre to receive the certification. They would be required to come in for 2 day. One of the days will involve carrying out the practical assessment and other day to carry out theory assessment. Candidate will also be asked to come into our centre before the exam to do a practice of the practical assessment to ensure that they are fully prepared for the actual exam. The course is constituted of numerous activities involving reading material, solving practice questions and follow video aided learning to understand the good practices of inspection testing. There are two exams for this course a practical and an online multiple choice. The 17th Edition distance learning is a home study course designed for those working towards their 17th Edition qualification. This Course comprises primarily a series of practice question papers with a well illustrated and explained study guide designed by NICEIC which helps students to prepare for the qualification and exam better. The fees for the course is £75 which includes the material and practice questions. All lessons are complemented by simple to understand diagrams and illustrations which again are progressively produced to coincide with the official IET Document ( Yellow Book) making them easy to follow and understand. No course would be complete unless you can check your progress. At the end of each lesson there is a practice test to check your progress. PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) distance learning is an home study course for candidates who wish to complete the PAT Testing qualification. The course allows candidates to study at their own speed at home through reading the material and doing practice question provided by us. As well as materials and practice question candidates are required to purchase “Code of practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment” edition 4 book. This book will further ensure that students are given the required information in order to pass the examination. Once the individuals have completed the course at home they would be required to come to our centre for the official examination which includes two exams practical and a theory. This exam is additional £150. It is based upon the students to decide which awarding body they would like to go for being EAL or City and Guilds. Upon successfully completing the exams students will be able to carry out the PAT Testing and would get level 3 award. They can also do the management course for PAT Testing.
